It just seems so crazy to me that it costs so little to offset carbon. The whole country could just pay for its carbon emissions every year with little effort, and that doesn't seem like a realistic solution to me. While these kinds of efforts are a good start, we ultimately need to radically change our lifestyles. Zephyr and I are currently emitting about six tons of CO2 per year, and with better transportation technology, less driving, and growing more of our own food, we should be able to get this down to 4.5 tons in a few years. This is half of the global average. The most important thing is just getting the discussion going, and I thank you for this.
